No-one wants to get caught plagiarising - even accidentally.

Edinburgh Young Guides training, 13-15 July
- Aged 13-15?
- Free 13th -15th July?
- Probably (but not necessarily) Edinburgh-based?
This looks such fun, Whittaker wishes 'he' was thirteen, fourteen or fifteen again!
Training in being a city guide - three days' worth of workshop - then actually getting out on the street and BEING a guide.
Sounds cool? If you know a suitable teenager, show them this link - but be quick, as the event will be signed up soon.

British Journal of Music Education
BRITISH JOURNAL OF MUSIC EDUCATION
Volume 28 / Issue 02 , July 2011
Lots of relevant stuff in the latest issue of this journal. Available electronically to RSAMD staff and students here. http://journals.cambridge.org/BME
• Trainee teachers and practising professionals will be interested in:- Teachers' use of digital technology in secondary music education: illustrations of changing classrooms
• Curriculum reformers may also find the above interesting because it queries whether our use of digital technology is reactive or proactive, and amplicative or transformative.
• Singers may be keen to follow up this one:- Scientific concepts in singing: Do they belong in a student toolbox of learning?
• Meanwhile, singing or instrumental instructors will probably want to look at this article:- Understanding the one-to-one relationship in instrumental/vocal tuition in Higher Education: comparing student and teacher perceptions
There’s plenty more – I’ve just picked out a couple of highlights. All available full-text by clicking the links. (If you’re out of the building, remember you’ll need to identify yourself as connected with RSAMD then use your academy login.)

Whittaker Live helps a Good Cause - RNID
This isn't music information - it's helping other folk hear music.
Yesterday morning, 'Whittaker' did a sponsored swim of 100 lengths to raise money for RNID's Centenary Appeal. If you're a musician, you'll appreciate the value of research into hearing loss.
Please consider supporting this sponsored swim - further information (and 'Whittaker' revealed) here.
