On a large scale or long-term project the hardest part it can be hard to know where to start, and a PhD is no exception. All Stainer's papers were bequeathed to Durham University Library last year. Now they're fundraising to establish a scholarship fund for postgraduate studies in British Church Music.
RSAMD Music Librarian Karen McAulay was a Music undergraduate at Durham, and plans to attend a special fundraising event in March 2011. Watch this space for a report after the event!
