Irish music from a historical perspective

You'll find a great list of historical editions on the LibraryIreland website. It's designed to introduce you to Irish history and culture. The music list is taken from a book called A History of Irish Music by William H. Grattan Flood. These days, Flood's critical work is considered flawed, but his list is still impressive - chronological - and gives plenty of food for thought.
